The 'Tiny Tim' tomato is the epitome of a compact balcony tomato and an absolute favorite for urban gardening. This open-pollinated dwarf cherry tomato produces countless small, bright red fruits that impress with a very sweet, juicy flavor and low acidity. Due to its tiny growth height and easy-care nature, it is the perfect snacking tomato for pots on the windowsill, the balcony, or even for indoor cultivation.

Growth habit, location, and care: 'Tiny Tim' is an extremely vigorous, determinate bush tomato that rarely exceeds 30 to 40 centimeters in height under good conditions. It grows bushy and compact by nature.

Care: A big plus of this variety: It does not need to be pruned! The plant branches out strongly and bears fruit on all shoots. Only a small, supporting stake can be helpful during a rich harvest.

Location: A full-sun, warm location is ideal. It thrives excellently in small pots (from 3 liters), balcony boxes, or hanging baskets. Indoor cultivation at a bright south-facing window is also possible.

Fertilization: As a heavy feeder in pots, it requires regular, potassium-rich fertilizer applications (e.g., with a liquid tomato fertilizer) once fruit begins to set.
Harvest and use: The small, red cherry tomatoes are ready to harvest when they are uniformly colored red and can be easily detached from the stem. They are an early variety and often produce yields as early as July.
