The pineapple groundcherry – also known as the groundcherry or husk cherry – is a South American relative of the cape gooseberry.
15 seeds each.
The plant grows in a bushy and spreading manner, reaches a height of up to 70 cm, and prefers a sunny location. Compared to the cape gooseberry, both the plant and the fruits are smaller, but the fruits ripen earlier in the year. The pineapple groundcherry can be overwintered in a cool but frost-free place and is ideally suited for the garden and balcony.
