Thanks to its curved shape, the dish offers plenty of space, so even larger bars of soap fit easily inside. Olive wood is exceptionally hard and has a particularly high natural oil content, making the soap dish highly resistant to moisture.

The extremely hard wood comes from olive trees, some of which are centuries old and no longer bear fruit. Each dish is handcrafted in Germany by D.O.M. Die Olivenholz Manufaktur in Marxen. Its individual grain makes it a true one-of-a-kind piece, so the product images are for illustrative purposes only. Small natural knots or fine hairline cracks may occur and enhance the wood's rustic charm, without affecting everyday use.
The wood is untreated and unvarnished. To preserve its natural protection, you should occasionally rub the soap dish lightly with a little cooking oil, such as olive oil,. This nourishes the wood and restores its beautiful honey-gold sheen.
