A beautiful place for the small, precious things of everyday life, wrapped in magical symmetry and positive energy. This round, smoothly rounded soapstone bowl shines in a rich, warm shade of red. The absolute highlight is hidden within: The entire surface of the bowl is decorated with a fine, white pattern that forms the powerful "Flower of Life".

This ancient symbol, consisting of uniform, interlocking circles stands for cosmic order, the infinite cycle of creation, and the deep interconnectedness of all life. The Flower of Life is said to possess a strongly harmonizing and protective energy. For me, as a plant lover, it has a particularly tangible meaning: it always reminds me that – much like this fascinating pattern – the miracle of an entire, magnificent plant lies hidden within a single tiny seed.

Each of these bowls is lovingly hand-carved in Kenya from natural soapstone, polished smooth, and finally painted. This traditional craftsmanship makes every piece absolutely unique, with its own warm radiance.

As soon as I held this meaningful work of art in my hands, I knew: this bowl with its positive aura is a wonderful addition to my small collection. It is a loving, mindful gift for a special person and is perfect for keeping jewelry handy on the bedside table or – quite stylishly – to catch your freshly harvested seeds and let them dry. A red, powerful eye-catcher that spreads natural warmth wherever it is placed!

The soapstone products come from Tabaka, Kenya, a town of about 10,000 residents located approximately 25km from Kisii. Soapstone (steatite) is a soft natural stone. The color of the stones varies between white, gray, yellow, and reddish tones, sometimes streaked with beautiful veining. The raw material is extracted locally in quarries. The carvers are independent artists who each specialize in a specific product area. Tools used include chisels, knives, scrapers, and sandpaper. The final polishing, washing of the stone, waxing, and finishing is usually carried out by women from the family. The 100% handmade nature results in variations in shape and color.
