A beautiful and safe place for your beloved little treasures, enveloped in magical symmetry and positive energy. This round, smoothly polished soapstone box shines in a bold, warm shade of red. The absolute highlight, however, is the lid: it is decorated with a delicate white pattern that forms the powerful "Flower of Life".

This ancient symbol, consisting of interlocking circles, stands for cosmic order, the infinite cycle of creation, and the interconnectedness of all life. The Flower of Life is said to have a harmonizing and protective energy. For me as a plant lover, it has a very special meaning: it reminds us that – much like this pattern – the miracle of an entire, magnificent plant already lies hidden within a single tiny seed.

Each of these boxes is lovingly handcrafted in Kenya, carved from natural soapstone, painted, and finished with this delicate engraving. This traditional craftsmanship makes every box a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.

I have included this enchanting box in my shop because it radiates such wonderful tranquility. It is the perfect, loving gift for a special person and a beautiful place to store rings, small keepsakes, or simply a safe hiding spot for your most precious, rare seeds. A real eye-catcher that adds warmth and deep meaning to any room!

The soapstone products come from Tabaka, Kenya, a town with about 10,000 inhabitants located approximately 25km from Kisii. Soapstone (steatite) is a soft natural stone. The color of the stones varies between white, gray, yellow, and reddish tones, sometimes streaked with beautiful veining. The raw material is extracted locally in quarries. The carvers are independent artists who each specialize in a specific product area. Tools used include chisels, knives, scrapers, and sandpaper. Final sanding, washing of the stone, waxing, and polishing are then usually carried out by women from the family. The 100% manual production results in variations in shape and color.
