Soapstone (steatite) is a soft natural stone. Its color ranges from white, gray, and yellow to reddish tones, sometimes with beautiful veining. The raw material is extracted locally in quarries. The carvers are independent artists, each specializing in a particular type of product. Their tools include chisels, knives, scrapers, and sandpaper. The final sanding, washing, waxing, and polishing are usually done by women in the family. Because each piece is 100% handmade, there are variations in shape and color.

Height: Approx. 15.5 cm

Weight: Approx. 420 g

Tealight included
